Paladin

My newest project is Paladin, which helps legal teams run more efficient pro bono programs while increasing access to justice. Our platform helps teams to staff, manage, and track engagement, saving them time and money, as well as visualize their impact and ROI. We're currently working with Fortune 500s and expanding to law firms in 2018-- reach out at kristen@joinpaladin.com to get involved!

Ekka Life + Ekka Recovery

Ekka Life is a wellness subscription box filled with superfoods, supplements, and wellness tips to keep you healthy and strong. Ekka Recovery's mission is to alleviate the physical and social discomfort of recovery and lower the chance of relapse through carefully curated recovery boxes of natural supplements. Ekka acts as a daily ritual to help build and maintain a healthy lifestyle and replace old habits with new ones for more supportive and successful development. As an Advisor at Ekka, I assist with back-end operations to let their team focus on product development and customer acquisition.

The Know Collective

The Know Collective, launching late January 2017, is a woman's community dedicated to honest conversation about life, filtered through the lens of mental health. As an advisor, I'm helping The Know team with their go-to-market strategy and domestic expansion.

Stanford Latino Entrepreneur Leaders Program

I recently graduated from Stanford's Latino Entrepreneur Leaders Program, a Certificate program aimed at strengthening America through Latino entrepreneurship research and education impact programs through Stanford University. Through the program, I met incredible Latino entrepreneurs from around the country and completed MBA-related coursework on scaling businesses.

Almaworks

As a mentor at Almaworks, a Columbia University-based accelerator for student run startups, I offer feedback and advice to six student-run companies looking to develop. I love taking a skills-based approach to maximize my value-add.

TEDxNewYork

As one of the founding team members of TEDxNewYork, my responsibilities ranged from operations to fundraising to event planning.  At our "Grand Central" event, we engaged thought leaders from all industries via inspiring talks and deep conversation to promote cross-cultural awareness and cohesion.

Treehouse

I joined Treehouse, an online education platform that helps students learn to code, as its first business developer.  After closing deals with schools across the country (including NYC DOE) to increase coding access for kids, I shifted focus to making our students job-ready.  In the first quarter of the project, I hit 120% of our placement goal, and am proud of having helped our students build careers in the tech industry.

Grouper, the Social Club

One of my most rewarding projects was building Grouper, the Social Club, as a founding member back in 2011.  At Grouper, I served as a one man sales team (bringing in a portfolio of $5MM+), maintained our finances and annual budget, and led customer acquisition efforts to bring membership into the hundreds of thousands.  I also secured global partnerships with companies like Uber, managed press and marketing, and oversaw the hiring of nearly 30 new employees while managing a small team.  My most exciting endeavor was taking the company international in December 2013 by launching Grouper London, our most successful new market.
